Credit does not seem important until the day that you need to qualify for a loan, a high paying job, or a low interest rate.
We all must be vigilant in watching out for our credit health, because in this day of technology, and living our lives online, there are many opportunities for credit thieves to steal our personal identity, which can then result in tremendous financial chaos in our personal lives.
Sometimes, we may not be a victim of identity theft.
Sometimes a bad credit report may be the result of a bank error, a clerical error at a doctors office, a misunderstanding when providing information over the phone, or could be the result of a simple computer glitch.
The point is that if we do not stay proactive in monitoring our credit reports and maintaining a high credit score, we could easily end up getting surprised with a denial for an apartment, a mortgage, a car loan, high insurance rates, and even getting passed over for a high paying job.
My goal here is quite simple: to show as many people as possible how credit works, how to maintain good credit, and most important, if you have bad credit, how to improve your credit reports and raise your credit scores.
The good news is, that it’s not very difficult to improve your credit score, but doing so, does require persistence and consistency.
We try to keep the information as condensed as possible without leaving out the most important information that you need.
However, please keep in mind that every situation is unique and different and it is important that you use the credit information that you find here as it applies to your own situation.
